Amsterdam · experience
A small-boat, live-narrated cruise through the illuminated canal ring as the sun sets — the Skinny Bridge, the Dancing Houses and the Amstel, with an English-speaking skipper.
The experience
This is a small-boat evening cruise — a maximum of 28 passengers, with an English-speaking local skipper narrating rather than a pre-recorded track, timed to catch the canals as the bridges light up and the sun sets over the Grachtengordel.
The route takes in the Skinny Bridge, the Dancing Houses and the Amstel River among the illuminated canal ring, on an open or partly covered electric boat depending on the weather. Unlimited drinks can be added as an option for the hour.
It is deliberately unamplified — no microphones on board, to keep the canals’ own quiet — so guests seated further from the skipper may need to ask him to speak up, a small trade-off for the calmer atmosphere it preserves.
