The experience

A long but fully organised day from Athens to the UNESCO-listed monasteries of Meteora, with seaside stops instead of highway rest breaks.

The 08:00 departure from St. Larissis station runs via a seaside stop in Kamena Vourla for optional brunch, then on to Kastraki at the foot of Meteora for an included traditional lunch, before a local guide leads the group into three of the six monasteries, with photo stops at all six and a visit to the hidden Hermit Caves of Badovas.

The return leg includes a second seaside stop in Kamena Vourla for an optional sunset dinner by the water, before the coach arrives back in Athens around 22:30 — a long day, but one built around scenic breaks rather than motorway service stations.
