Bangkok · experience
Street-food stops by private tuk-tuk through Chinatown and Old Town Bangkok, a night walk through the flower market, and a rooftop drink overlooking Wat Arun to finish.
The experience
This tour trades a single restaurant for a moving one: a private tuk-tuk carries the group between hidden eateries and street vendors across Rama IV, Chinatown and Old Town Bangkok, stopping long enough at each to taste, ask questions and watch a dish being made. The guide explains the ingredients and technique behind each stop rather than simply pointing the way to the next.
The route also functions as a night tour of the old city: a walk through Yaowarat’s neon-lit Chinatown, a stop at the Pak Khlong flower market as it comes alive after dark, and a pass through Rattanakosin’s temples and landmarks lit up for the evening. The pace is unhurried enough to take photographs at each stop.
The evening ends on a rooftop with a chilled Thai beer or a non-alcoholic drink and a view across the river, before the tuk-tuk delivers guests back to their hotel — genuinely enough food, by most accounts, to stand in for dinner.
