Budapest · experience
Fast-track admission to the world’s second-largest synagogue, its museum, memorial garden and Holocaust memorials, with an optional guided-tour add-on.
The experience
Built in 1859 with room for 3,000 worshippers, Dohány Street Synagogue is the world’s second-largest. Fast-track admission covers the synagogue itself, the Hungarian Jewish Museum and its temporary exhibitions, the Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Park, the Tree of Life Holocaust Memorial, the Heroes’ Temple, the Righteous Gentiles Memorial, the Holocaust Cemetery and the Forced Labour Holocaust Memorial.
The synagogue’s courtyard serves as the burial ground of nearly 2,600 Jewish people who perished at the hands of the Nazis, and the Tree of Life memorial, its leaves inscribed with victims’ names, stands nearby. A 45–60 minute guided tour of the synagogue, Wallenberg Park, the Heroes’ Temple and the graveyard can be added at booking.
