The experience

Old Dubai on foot — Al Fahidi, the souks and a private abra crossing, with tastings along the way.

This walk starts at Al Seef, a reconstructed heritage waterfront, then follows Dubai Creek into the Bastakiya Quarter and Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood — wind-tower courtyard houses that are among the oldest standing architecture in the city. A stop at Dubai Museum, set inside Al Fahidi Fort, covers the emirate’s history before Dubai became the city it is today.

From the Old Souk, a private abra — the small wooden water taxi that has crossed the Creek for generations — carries the group to the Deira side, where the Spice Souk supplies the tour’s tastings on the premium option: street food, Arabic coffee and fresh juice, with a pre-market briefing on real product values and vendor tactics before any bargaining begins.

The walk finishes at the Gold Souk in Deira, one of the largest gold markets in the world and a natural place to browse or buy before the group disperses.
