Karlovy Vary · experience
A guided visit to the 1867 building where Becherovka was made for more than a century, ending with a tasting of four Jan Becher products.
The experience
A guided visit to the Becherovka visitor centre in the Steinberky building, which Jan Becher built in 1867 and which served as the liqueur’s factory for more than 140 years; the herbal recipe itself dates back to 1807 and remains Karlovy Vary’s best-known export after its water.
The route moves through the historical and interactive exhibitions — old bottles, the herbs and spices, a virtual-reality view of the bottling line — and a taste of the local water the liqueur depends on, before a short tasting of four products still made at the Jan Becher distillery.
