Electric bike tour: hills, Alfama and Mouraria

An electric bike tour up Lisbon’s steepest viewpoints — the Senhora do Monte, the National Pantheon and the Alfama district — with a local storyteller guide and no real physical effort required.

The experience

Lisbon’s steepest hills covered by electric bike, with a local storyteller guide rather than a fixed script.

An electric bike removes the climb from Lisbon’s famous seven hills, so the group can reach the Alfama, Mouraria and Graça viewpoints that a walking tour would leave out of reach for most travellers. Bikes are fitted to height and experience level before setting off.

The route passes the Fado Museum, the National Pantheon, the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte and the Alfama district itself, finishing near Lisbon Cathedral — with the guide narrating the city’s history and its present-day life throughout, in a small group capped at eight riders.
