Pastel de nata baking class

A hands-on class in Lisbon’s best-known pastry — dough, custard and the high-heat bake — with Port wine and Ginjinha tasting alongside the tarts you make yourself.

The experience

Portugal’s best-known pastry, baked by hand from scratch, with local drinks alongside the lesson.

A chef-led, hands-on class walks the group through making pastéis de nata from scratch — the dough, the custard filling and the high-heat bake that gives the tart its blistered top — in a cosy kitchen rather than a demonstration-only setup.

The class pairs the baking with a tasting of Portuguese drinks: Port wine, Ginjinha cherry liqueur, homemade juice and coffee, alongside the tarts each participant takes home warm from the oven.
