Lisbon · experience
Self-paced entry to one of the world’s largest aquariums, built around a single central ocean tank with four habitat zones — a strong wet-weather or family morning.
The experience
Oceanário de Lisboa was built for Expo ’98 and remains one of the largest aquariums in the world, organised around a vast central tank representing the global ocean, surrounded by four habitat zones for the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Antarctic. Sharks, sunfish and rays share the main tank in a single, continuous ecosystem rather than separated displays.
This is a self-paced entry ticket with skip-the-line access at busy times — there is no live guide, so the visit suits a family morning or a quieter solo hour exactly as long as the traveller wants it to be.
