Milan · experience
A full day by coach and the UNESCO-listed Bernina Red Train to St Moritz, climbing to the highest point reached by train in Europe.
The experience
The air-conditioned coach heads out from Milan toward St Moritz, a luxury alpine resort in Switzerland’s Engadin valley, stopping for coffee and views of Lake Como along the way, with free time in St Moritz for shopping or pastry tasting.
From St Moritz the group boards the Bernina Red Train for a roughly two-and-a-half-hour ride with opening windows, climbing to around 7,390 feet — the highest point reached by trains in Europe — through the Alps to Tirano on a UNESCO World Heritage route, before the coach returns to Milan in the evening.
