The experience

A private, fully custom day built around whichever version of Tokyo suits the trip.

This is a genuinely private, single-group tour rather than a fixed itinerary: guests are contacted before the day to discuss interests, pace and priorities, and the guide builds a personal route from a long list of possible stops — Senso-ji and Asakusa, Akihabara, Tsukiji Outer Market, Shibuya Crossing, Meiji Jingu Shrine, Ginza, Tokyo Skytree, the Imperial Palace, Shinjuku Golden Gai, Ueno Park, Takeshita Street, and the Hamarikyu and Shinjuku Gyoen gardens among them.

A typical booking runs four to six hours and covers a handful of these stops at an unhurried pace on foot and by train, with the guide navigating Tokyo’s transport network throughout — a particular relief on a first visit. Some attraction admissions are included as noted per stop; others, along with the guide’s own transport costs during the day, are the guest’s to cover.

Because it is entirely private, the day can lean toward history and temples, food and markets, or anime and fashion districts, depending on what the group actually wants from Tokyo, rather than a route built for a busload of strangers.
