Toronto · experience
Canada’s own 1914 castle — roughly 98 Edwardian rooms, a Prohibition-era tunnel exhibit, an antique car display and a Group of Seven painting collection.
The experience
Casa Loma is a genuine 1914 castle — roughly 98 rooms across 200,000 square feet, built in Edwardian style for financier Sir Henry Pellatt, with a documentary on his life included in the visit.
An 800-foot tunnel, 18 feet underground, holds the Dark Side of Toronto exhibit — archival photos covering Prohibition, the Great Depression, plague outbreaks and the Great Fire of Toronto — alongside a vintage car display, a Group of Seven landscape painting collection on the third floor, and a Hollywood Film Gallery marking the castle’s 30-plus years as a filming location.
