Prague · private driver experience
A private seven-hour ride from Prague to medieval Kutná Hora: the cathedral and the Bone Chapel at Sedlec, the old silver town and St Barbara’s Church, with collection and return at your address.
How this ride works
Silver made Kutná Hora rich enough in the Middle Ages to rival Prague, and the town that the mines paid for is still there: a late-Gothic church built by the miners, a royal mint, lanes of patrician houses, and at Sedlec, on the edge of the town, a cathedral and the chapel of bones that most visitors come for. The centre is listed by UNESCO.
The sights lie in two groups a short drive apart, Sedlec and the old town, and the car takes you between them. Seven hours door to door leave around four and a half in Kutná Hora, with time for lunch.

01 · Confirmed point
Meet at your hotel or another address within Prague. The driver confirms the most practical collection point before the ride, and the drive to Kutná Hora takes about an hour and a quarter.
02 · Chosen with you
The former Cistercian abbey church at Sedlec, rebuilt in the early eighteenth century by Jan Santini in his own blend of Gothic and Baroque: a long, pale nave filled with light. It is listed by UNESCO together with the town centre, and stands a few minutes’ walk from the ossuary.
03 · Chosen with you
The small cemetery chapel whose interior is arranged from the bones of tens of thousands of people, among them a chandelier and a coat of arms, composed in 1870. It is a burial place as well as a sight: visits are ticketed, and photography inside is restricted.
04 · Chosen with you
A small Gothic palace in the old town, now the Czech Museum of Silver, which tells how the mines made Kutná Hora the second city of medieval Bohemia. The museum’s tours, one of which goes down into a medieval mine, run in season and are ticketed.
05 · Chosen with you
The great late-Gothic church of the miners, begun in 1388 and dedicated to their patron saint, with three tented roofs above the valley. The terrace walk that leads to it, beside the former Jesuit College, is the best view in the town.

Useful tips
Before booking
Yes. You may choose all, some or none of the suggested stops, and request another order. The final plan must remain practical within the confirmed seven-hour service, the driving time and the conditions on the day.
Door to door. The seven hours run from collection in Prague to your return and include the drive of about an hour and a quarter each way; the rest is yours in Kutná Hora.
Your payment confirmation is sent immediately. We then send the practical service details, including the assigned driver and vehicle, once the ride has been scheduled. Payment does not by itself mean the operational service is already assigned.
This is exceptional, but if we cannot provide the booked service we will offer a suitable alternative or arrange a full refund.
You may cancel at least 24 hours before the confirmed pickup time for a full refund to the original payment method within five business days. If we confirm a driver no-show, we will also issue a full refund within five business days.
No. The driver is local and may offer practical suggestions, but is not a licensed guide and does not provide guided visits inside sights.
No. The fare covers the vehicle, the driver, fuel, motorway tolls and parking. Tickets and tours at the sights, where they are needed, are bought or reserved separately. If you reserve a timed entry, tell us when booking, so that the day can be shaped around it.
No special fitness is needed. The car brings you as close to each stop as access rules allow; the sights themselves are seen on foot, at your own pace, and the day can be adapted to mobility needs.
Not this one. The day begins and ends at a hotel or another address within Prague. For an arrival or a departure, ask us for a separate transfer.
